Thanks to the COVID-19 crisis, we are all learning to work from home and be with our families 24/7. It’s a challenge, for sure, so here are some tips to steer you through.

3:35 – JM: “We always try our best to think logically and respond logically. But when you hit that panic mode, sometimes you have to give yourself a little TLC – because that little primal part of you gets more frightened.”

6:45 – JM: “I found that running from my fear was more exhausting and made a bigger negative impact on my world than just sinking into those old feelings.”

7:40 – JM: ” If we get comfortable with fear as just a feeling, it will move through. We just need to feel it like we would grief. Like we might when we’re angry and we don’t necessarily blow up at someone, but we can feel it. It’s a feeling, let it wave through us. Then we can react appropriately.”

10:10 – JM: “If you can, try to set up separate office places.”

11:05 – JM: “Now that we’re all in the house all the time, it’s really smart to plan out who’s going to have meetings when.”

13:05 – JM: “The advice not to touch your face is a lot like ‘just say no’ or ‘just be abstinent.’ You’re going to touch your face. So give yourself a break – just try and do it less.”

14:10 – JM: “Keep some perspective here. It’s just a virus. It’s a bad one – but no one is at fault for this.”

15:20 – JM: ” Just because you need to socially isolate doesn’t mean that you can’t go outside. So get some exercise, go for a walk, get some fresh air, sit outside for a little bit when there’s some sun out. Get a change of scenery, get yourself moving.”

15:48 – JM: ” For those of you who are at home with your family, everyone’s under stress, but we’re also altogether. It can be a a fun time to focus on making family memories.”

17:15 – JM: ” Try and think about who you want to be in a time of crisis.”

19:25 – JM: “With your customers, be human. Check in on them – send them an email, ask them how they’re faring, ask them what’s going on because we’re all in this together.”
