Tatyana Kanzaveli, Founder and CEO of Open Health Network, speaks with me about integrating tech with healthcare. Open Health Network is a healthcare startup in big data, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.
Highlights include:
7:30 – TK: “You can’t come to healthcare with technology and vision and try to create a revolution in one day.”
11:20 – TK: “We found other ways to get to that data but that was the initial kind of thinking on how I can get to certain data points that we didn’t have access to even. No one was collecting (it).”
11:55 – TK: “When I looked at certain needs in healthcare, such as data, privacy security and all of that, I realized that certain properties of blockchain – and I’m not talking about Bitcoin – are very useful for data exchange that needs to happen in healthcare. So we deployed that a long time ago as a way to address data privacy, security, traceability and all of that with healthcare data.”
16:50 – TK: “What excites me is that, within natural language processing and machine learning and everything we have to deploy, we have those conversations with patients. We also developed an algorithm that can, during conversation, determine the point of time where you are ready to change your behavior. And at that time we can connect you to experts and support materials and anything else to make sure that change happens.”
